Footpath Trading Guidelines Review

The City of Port Phillip wants to improve footpath usability, so we’re reviewing our footpath trading guidelines. The review will look at how we manage the many uses of our footpaths, including pedestrian accessibility and safety, footpath dining and trading policies, and residential and business access and amenity.

We’ve already conducted an extensive review of best practice footpath trading within Australia, and consulted widely with business and the community. We’re currently drafting the new guidelines which will be made available for public comment in early 2010. We expect the guidelines to be finalised by mid 2010.
