Business Recycling Collection

All business/industrial ratepayers are entitled to a weekly clearance of office/lunchroom recyclable materials (ie. domestic type recyclable products and amounts only, not trade products and quantities). The recycling collection service is the same for businesses as for residential areas. For information about collection times, missed, lost, new or broken bins as well as information about what you can put into your recycle bin, go to the Residential Recycling Collection section.

Large volumes of recyclable material

For recycling volumes for containers, waste paper and cardboard exceeding residential quantities (approximately 240 litres), private arrangements outside of the council service will need to be made for the excess quantities.

For further information on private arrangements including charges, collection times & other details, contact Visy Recycling on (03) 9247 4666, or other collectors as listed in the Yellow Pages under Waste and Recycling Services.

Strip shopping centres - cardboard collection

Council provides a weekly collection of stacked and flattened cardboard boxes and containers to all the major strip shopping centres throughout the city. This collection takes places early morning on the same day as the residential recycling collection.
