Business Garbage Collection
All business/industrial ratepayers are entitled to a weekly clearance of office/lunchroom type waste (ie. domestic type waste, not trade waste)
Collection Days
Your garbage will be collected using a bin supplied by the council from the street abutting your property every week. Place your bin out before 6.00am or the night before your collection day. Return your bin inside your property following collection.

What can go in to a business bin?
Only office/lunchroom type waste (ie, domestic type waste, not trade waste) will be collected and this should be fully contained within the bin provided so that the lid is closed.
Missed bin?
Collection times can vary. Garbage can be collected up to 6pm on your collection day. If your bin is missed please contact ASSIST on (03) 9209 6777 or email assist@portphillip.vic.gov.au We will arrange for the bin to be emptied within 24 hours.

New bin

Lost bin
If your bin is missing or you move to an existing property where there is no bin, an application form and statutory declaration must be completed. Fill in the attached Garbage and Recycling Bin Application Form and mail it to City of Port Phillip Private Bag 3 St Kilda 3182 or take it to the Port Phillip Transfer Station.
