This course will help you to understand your legal and practical responsibilities as a committee/board
The training will be conducted over two Monday evenings and would normally cost $200 per person;
Traders from across Port Phillip are invited, presenting a great opportunity to get to know each other
COURSE OUTLINE
Session 1 – Governing your Trader Association
· What is governance in a Trader Association context
· Understanding your purpose
· Your committee’s role and responsibilities
· What are the regulatory and governance responsibilities
· A clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Executive
· What should the board look like and how to recruit
· A practical actical understanding of succession planning processes
Session 2 – Sustaining your Trader Association
· Why do we meet – Making decisions
· Developing a plan for success
· Managing and reporting finances
· Funding options
· Procuring corporate sponsorship
The training will be delivered by ‘Our Community ‘ leaders in this field and the sessions will be geared specifically to develop the skills and knowledge of the board member of a Business/Traders Association in a dynamic and practical style.
