Removable screens

Removable screens include all types of screening used to enclose the trading zone of an outdoor dining area.

To preserve the general appearance and openness of the streetscape, the maximum height for cafe barriers / screens is 0.9m and the maximum length is 10m.

Removable screens must be fixed into a socket and sleeve system in the footpath subject to council specifications and approval.

Removable screens must be removed at the close of business every day as stated on the permit to allow for daily street cleaning.

To include Removable screens on your permit download and complete the Footpath Trading Application form and forward to the Footpath Trading Unit for processing.

Advertising

Advertising on furniture (including screens, awnings and umbrellas) must be included in a Footpath Trading application and is subject to approval by council.

Applicants may feature the name of their business or relevant product names.
